Jane's Walk

2016 marks the Centenary of the birth of Toronto activist and writer, Jane Jacobs, as well as the 10th Anniversary of Jane’s Walk, the grassroots project that bears her name. In advance of the global festival in May, a series of multi-lingual tours will explore community intersections of place, arrival and overlap.

Art and the Russian Community of Bathurst and Finch
Explore important community spaces to the Russian community and the stories of important Russian artists, to understand the Russian culture in Toronto.

Where to watch Salmon on Don River
This walk will take a step away from the busy streets into the ravine system to explore the spaces where the salmon can be spotted in the river and share stories of the ravine system from the eyes of a new immigrant and how those relationships have changed overtime.
